Punk Movie Project

I started brain storming a film idea with the publisher of a Punk Zine called Fanorama.
Not a "porn" but something that could be ...Well will be seen as homo erotic.
I suspect it's also going to be seen as a critique of Male Queer Culture.
In my mind it is the start of a series of shorts that will be combined in the future.

Part of the reason I have been wanting to do this for a Long while is my
dissatisfaction with Gay porn in general. I wonder how healthy any of ti is But,
I don't watch much of it so I can't make an expert judgement.

Shooting begins when the weather warms up: April/May/June of 08.
If anyone has advice or can contribute or wants to be involved let me know.

Queer Mojo is looking for quality erotic, short fiction for an upcoming anthology. Stories should be creative, revolutionary, queer and... well, pieces gotta be good reads and they gotta be hot. They may be as explicit as you like, but should have some redeeming literary value (whatever you take that to mean).

QM seeks characters out of the mainstream: punks, outcasts, skaters, queer skinhead, urban anarchists and secretly rebellious farmboys.

"India" Tribe Resorts to Homophobic Attacks

While I've been removed and censored in the India tribe, the chief person who attacked my every post and called for censorship against me, the so-called "Free Thinker", has now resorted to a lot of homophobic attacks against me (even though I'm not gay, but whatever).

In response a group member named Angie posted a thread with the following plea:

"how about getting the homophobic crap off this tribe?

"i mean, really.
it's making me crazy to see this every time i want to check in with the India tribe."

In response, that thread was deleted by the moderator, the homophobic attacks left up, and I was once again removed from the group (where I had rejoined to defend myself and tell people about my new tribe). "Free Thinker" has been allowed to stay in the group to continue spouting his combined claims that I'm gay (using other terms than that) and claiming that I'm an Islamic terrorist.

And no, I don't support terrorism, whether it be done by Muslims, right-wing Hindus, or the Sri Lankan government.

When I was first thrown out of the India tribe the following article was also censored from the group:

Gay Punks Book Project: Looking for Submissions.

I'm in the middle of putting a book titled
Hardcore Hearts: Lessons Learned From Gays in the Punk Rock Scene.

OK here's the plan.
Between now and mid December we'll be spreading the word
About Hardcore Hearts to as many Bisexual, Gay Male, Lesbian,
Queer, Questioning and Trans (I like to go in alphabetical order), Punk Rock Folks
that we all can. Meanwhile they are to be encouraged
to just start writing weather they seriously think they can write or not.
It can be from a single sentence to 3000 words.

The focus is on Lessons Learned by Gay folk in the Punk, Hard core, OI!,
Straight Edge, Crust, Anarchist, etc... scene.

Looking to start putting it together in December.
The dead line may be extended if we think we don't have enough.

As the title says the focus is on what lessons
Bisexual, Gay Male, Lesbian, Queer, Questioning, Trans Punks
have learned carried with you, and think are worth sharing.

being a very open-minded person, throughout the years I've identified with many different "scenes." And when really you get to know people especially in an "alternative" scene, you can find some genuine people. By genuine I mean people who can put their obviously human ego-driven thinking aside and use clear logic and intellect to decide what is important - and then use that knowledge and apply it to their own lives. There are genuine people all over, if you look hard enough (needless to say some areas have a higher concentration of them...) I say fuck trying to fit into a scene, they're just socially constructed entities to give people a sense of belonging. (not that that's bad! I think humans are obviously constructed to bond, to group, and to belong.) And don't get me started on the immoral capitalization for profits on scenes ... that's another topic and reason I don't identify too much with a scene. There's a strong sense of unity in the rave scene, the buddhist scene (sangha), and of course the punk scene- if you know where to look, and find the right people. To me, a scene is a social means to meet like-minded individuals. I generally don't go as far as to label myself; I'm just me... always have been and always will be. But certainly I (like everyone else on this website) have some places where I feel that I belong, and some people I know I belong with. I identify most within the punk scene. I happen to bond emotionally and sexually with men rather than women. I've never met another gay punk. So that's brought me here, and with that said...

... what is being a gay punk to you? Are they two separate things? is it more of a fetish/turn-on? And how do you feel about "punk porn?"

I'd love some feedback.

Howdy All,

I am on the verge of buying an old makeout van or a truck with camper . I am slowly mapping out a loose itenerary for takin the doglin on a giant cross country trek stopping at different intentional communities(wolf creek, zuni mtn, kawashaway,twin oaks, etc.) and festivals (autonomous mutant fest, lamas @ zuni, hobo fest, some political events, etc) and more. We are planning on taking about a year, maybe a bit more, maybe a bit less, as nothing is set in stone.

I am looking for any great ideas from folks. So if ya know of anything happening that is neat,kooky, or not to be missed let me know. I hope to see a few of you along the way. I plan on hittining Minneapolis, Brooklyn, Asheville, Nashvegas, Eugene Olympia, Los Angeles and more along the way. If you need to get away for a bit and need a ride lemme know.

There will be a blog and pics on myspace when we get closer to headin out and for the duration. Looking at june 1st-ish to start.

Movie about Darby Crash and the Germs

There is a movie about Darby Crash and the 80s LA punk band the Germs called "What We Do Is Secret", that premiered this Summer. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to have been released/distributed any where else yet. I live in Portland Oregon and I am getting really impatient to see it. Has any one here seen it yet? Is it any good? (the reviews have been great, and there is a magazine with Shane West and the surviving original members of the Germs on the cover) But the question I'm most interested in is: have they toned down Darby's queerness in the movie? The trailer/preview shows a quick scene in which Darby is staring at a sleeping Rob Henley, who was alleged to be Darby's lover before he killed himself. Any body have any info on the movie? At all?

My name is Sunny. I am a graduate student in the Sexuality Studies program at San Francisco State University. I am conducting research on polyamory. The aim of my study is to explore how individuals in queer polyamorous triads discuss love in their relationships. I am in search of individuals in queer, long-term (one year or longer), polyamorous triads to interview. Individuals must identify themselves and their relationships as queer, and the triads must be three people who are all sexually and romantically involved with one another.

Participating in this study will entail a 45-90 minute one-on-one interview at a comfortable and private location convenient for both of us to discuss your experiences and feelings of love while in a triad.

If you are currently in a queer, long-term (one year or longer), triad relationship and are interested in participating in the study, please contact me!

Portland

I'm back in Portland Oregon, after a failed attempt to move to San Francisco.
I left Portland because I thought I'd find more punks who were biological men who like to have sex with biological men, but I guess I was having better luck here.
I like Portland a lot, but most of my friends here are straight punks and radicals.

I guess I need to get out to more gay venues if I want to find a partner (or 2 or 3) or make more friends, so I don't always feel like the only homosexual man hanging out in the crowd.

How many people here on this tribe are living in Portland?
Want to start a band? (just kidding!)
Where are there places to go to further my social life in the manner described above?

Issue #1 of my Punk zine Boots and Roots is available in Philly Pa at
Wooden Shoe Books. There off of South Street.

I'v ebeen wanting to do a Gay zine.
But my heart just isn't in it. So I'm thinking as well as Boots and Roots a
Gay thing with a personal perspective.

Also started doing one page zines. One sheet folded and stapled togeather.
I like these a lot.
Little time and lots of punch.
The one I'm working on now centers on masterbation.
I'm for it!
Was looking for decent pics of punk pumping but most wern't that inspiring.

Pride Month Activities

Last year on the 4th of July I saw at least 3 American Flags
as I rode on the train, bus or riding in a friends car.

It seemed to me at least one person had it in mind to put up
flags. They all were the same size, on the same size wooden pole and
held on with what appeared to be white plastic fasteners.
It was hard for me to Not feel
Impressed.

I'd like to do some public art thing for the month of June.
Every one every where does a parade because well...
that's what they do in New York.

SynthPunk/Sewer Rock band seeks Drummer
we are searching for a drummer that gets garage rock, has swing, and is foot heavy, but that is open to experimental sounds as well as grooving rock n roll.

We are two musicians, that create tension and flow between us by our sound and instrument choices, tube amp surfy goth rock guitar battling and making out with analog synth waveforms, bluesy organ keyboard collaborating with tweaked live played samples of self recorded obscure sources, low groans and high screaches co-exist with poisoned pop punk melodies and crooning cabaret dramatics. We need our third member, the drummer/percussionist, to hold down the beat, and explore with us. We call ourselves The Floating Corpses. We've been playing together for about 5 years, and both of us were in bands before this, one of us in rock n roll bands, the other in noise bands. We have recorded, toured, and get good gigs, have rehearsal space, etc. We work the underground scenes, not the mainstream; we are a serious band that lives for music, this isn't a hobby, but we arn't professionals per se, although we know how to be professional, we prefer to keep our punk ethics and keep having fun, but we are planning on touring the world.

You can find songs of ours on the web, but we have many sets of new songs that need to be fully brought to life with our new drummer. If you want to try out sometime, email us and tell us a bit about yourself.

Queeruption Vancouver Now Starting August 1st

With roughly 5 months to go, the Queeruption Vancouver organizing collective made the decision to extend Q10 by a day. Q10 will now run for a full week, from August 1st to August 7th.

Adding an extra day will give us all more time for workshops, discussions, performances, and actions. Also, we will have more time to get to know each other, make friends, etc.

Hopefully this won’t create a problem for anyone or disrupt travel plans too much. See you in August!

There is this thing in the wonderfull world of porn that bites like no other. It's that there is NO punk porn out there (there is, but I'll get to that), especially no GAY punk porn. Sure you can get the occasional german pig flick, but even then it's generally fetish related. And that's the problem with punks and goth types in porn. They only ever get cat for fetish roles. Producers and viewers alike see us in that light only. These people dress like freaks, therefore they get the freakiest roles in the industry. Sure it's a market, but is it all that we as punks and goth's want to see? Yes most of us own a selection of porn that is non-fetish related, but how much do we have that use "real" punks? Myself and a few others have been searching fo it, and have no results. Many people claim it's out there, but no one can bring any to the table. So in this we have decided to be the first co. to produce it. Our first production is going to be strictly a gay production. And because this will be the first film of it's kind, we want it to be exactly the style of film we as punks would want to see. Picture a "decline of the western civilization" overall feel, but with porn. Then add in a music video feel to it. Grainy, scratchy, and kind of in your face. Queeruption Vancouver: August 2-7 2007

This summer, Queeruption is heading to Vancouver Canada, on Coast Salish First Nations territory. We're calling this Queeruption Vancouver, but the bulk of the event is going to be held outside of the city in nature! By holding Q10 outside of the city we hope to make ecological and environmental concerns a focus at this gathering, and examine the intersections between radical queer activism and environmental activism.

As lots of you are aware, Queeruption is a DIY, non hierarchical, radical gathering for queers of all genders and sexualities. It usually happens in a different city around the world each year.

One of the reasons it's fairly easy to seduce a guy (even if you're a guy) - is because most guys have no idea it's happening to them. After all -- it's a "friendship" that grows closer & less formal over time.

Time is a major element -- because after all, -this IS A REAL FRIENDSHIP & they take TIME! DUH! See, unlike the guy trying to pick up a lady with a few smart-arse lines ... a dude seducing another dude will make a close friendship integral to the last stage -- physical intimacy. Depending on the personalities of each guy and the position on Kinsey's scale -- the amount of time this takes is a wide variable. Also -- the more attractive YOU ARE as a guy plays a major role.

Of course -- anticipating the needs of a guy & being there to fill in the gap is a massive way of letting a guy know that you care about him as a friend. Actions speak volumes louder than words. Got a friend who's going thru a financial hard time? Leaving that $20 sticking out of the fridge to be discovered after you leave is a great way to let your buddy know you care. After all -- in a world where people love money; -leaving it lets your friend know where he falls in your eyes. It's non-verbal & powerful. You do love your friend more than money, right?

Physical affection is the key hurdle to get over. Once you're wrestling & you've managed to get massaging on the guy ... the process is at top speed. Hanging out turns into staying overnight & sharing the same bed. Being stripped down in the same bed is a step away from gentle wrestling involving some light tickling & joking-groping. This process takes time -- seldom happening in a single session. Breaking in combat boots

I never owned a pair before, I just grabbed a $60 pair for $44 at this store I used to work at in Chicago (Its ironic I got my first pair of combat boots at a store that's main custimor base is drag queens) Regardless, I'm having a hell of a time breaking them in... I'm kicking shit, filling them with hot water and sloshing around in them kicking more shit. I'm also going up and down stairs before proceeding to kick something.

Hay all.
About a year or two ago a friend of mine were talking about how
lame comercial porn was and we brain stormed an idea for a
punk porno zine.

Of course the idea stayed an idea but now that I'm more focused
AND I have a computer of my own I'm up for getting it done.

I have my own idea of what's hot and what's not:
Not including stuff that's obviously posed and
limited to a single body type.

Like the Hands Free Hard On Tribe as well as the
Smile Your On Naked Camera Tribe but my focus is
on actualy likeing men.
I'm intrested in promoting the idea that men can actualy like and
take care of each other.
There are folks who get off on humiliation; I'm not one of em.
Not into doing/having extream stuff visual stuff.
Fiction and real life accounts are another thing.

So if there are any punk boys who want to pose let me know.
If you draw or take pics and want to contribute drop a line.

My MySpace.com account was deleted when I questioned their sponsorship of homophobic rap "music". It's outrageous that these so called musicians can get away with their vicious attacks on the gay community with impunity. I guess MySpace will tolerate just about anything except criticizm. I'm new at this organizing business. I'd appreciate any help in getting the word out on MySpace censorship and sponsorship of bigotry. Let's organize a boycott.

Excuse me but why is My Space sponsoring homophobic, hate mongering cRAP music? My buddy Tom has not responded to my e-mail about this subject. It is not acceptable for these viscious, loud mouth, no talent, hate mongers to profit from out pain. There is a large gay presence on myspace. Blog, e-mail, bulletin as many friends as you can. Maybe Tom will get the message.

New to this site, and have a question about porn.

Hi, a few of my friends and I were wondering why there is no punk porn. Gay anyway. There is plenty out there, but no gay porn that we know of. I live in LA, and am having no luck. Does any one know where to find any? If nothing else, I do video editing on the side, and we were talking about just making one. At least for nothing else so that it does exhist.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I keep hearing terrorists are the new Jews as if Jews were no longer persecuted. I hear the same the same about Gays, as if everything is okay now that we have Wil & Grace, a show that is stolen from its namesakes by a stereotype gay man and his alcoholic female friend that acts like gay drag queen.

Gays are far from accepted. The thing that kills me is that now, we are not only NOT accepted, now we are openly laughed at for stereotypes. They've even legitimized the stereotypes by calling it "Queer Theory". Why don't they just cut off my balls? That would be like having a respected academic course in college called "Nigger Theory".

Then, they have the nerve to suggest civil unions could even come close to satisfying the call for parity with straights. When two gay people fall in love with people from another country, their relationships are not protected by green cards, yet straights think it would all be okay if each state just individually passed half measure civil union laws and corporations gave domestic partnership coverage, which is really intended to help all single people, a majority of which are straight.

I am so sick of people acting like we have arrived, when we haven't even been allowed on the same train. There is going to be a violent revolution before its over and many gays will die before there is any movement of moral justice, but the principles will finally be clear. Nothing half-ass is acceptable.

Can anyone imagine that black people would have accepted being able to vote for local and state officials but not the President? If black slaves had been granted the right to permanently rent land but never hold title?

The whole idea is insane and many gay people, God forgive them for their low self-esteem, are willing to take less than full recognition of one the most powerful statements of their humanity, the right to love and permanently pair. It's not about reproductive rights; that's just a red herring filter that straights are trying to create to make it impossible for gays to respond. If we just wanted to reproduce, what the hell? Who can't do that? It just takes an unplanned egg and sperm joining. Gays become parents quite easily and often.

Here's the deal. Gays are not ever going to get something as long as it is perceived that they must be "accepted" by straights. Hell, whites still don't understand or accept blacks, but at least they can fuck each other until there is only one color. That will solve their differences eventually. Gays and straight will never fully "understand each other". How can they?

But they better, by God, respect each other, or they will kill each other and it will make the US civil war look like a cake walk.

Imagine if even 10% of invisible gay people begin to truly act up. We don't want to go there, do we? Now, wasn’t that funny!
